First-party PlayStation help studio Seen Arts and PS Studios Malaysia have reportedly been affected by workers cuts.
As reported by Kotaku, an “unknown number of workers” had been allegedly laid off at Seen Arts and educated that “their last day at Sony might be March 7.”
These layoffs are allegedly “widespread” and talked about to include builders who had been engaged on the recently cancelled live-service game from Bend Studios.
PS Studios Malaysia seems to have moreover confronted layoffs, in keeping with a LinkedIn post from former senior endeavor supervisor Johann Affendy Mahfoor.
“There was a wave of workforce low cost and sadly I’m no longer part of the PS mannequin,” Mahfoor wrote. “[The] saddest, most devastating half for me was seeing extreme performers and key individuals who had been actively engaged on duties being laid off.”

PS Studios Malaysia was primarily based in 2020 to work alongside Seen Arts, which itself offers art work and technical help to first-party PS studios. Most these days, it labored with Naughty Canine on The Closing Of Us Half 1 and a pair of remasters.
Former employees Chris Clyde and Lewis Labram moreover shared that they’d been part of the layoffs on LinkedIn.
Riot Video video games R&D senior lead producer Abby LeMaster, who beforehand labored at Seen Arts as endeavor supervisor, shared her thoughts about the situation on Monday (March 3).
